22 Jan Review: Happy HERlidays Event

In the spirit of giving back to the community during the holidays, Empower’em organized a feminine hygiene product drive for the St. Joe’s Women’s Centre. We placed donation boxes at various locations on the University of Ottawa campus site, as well as community centres and workplaces to reach out to as many people as possible! We collected items such as regular toiletry (toothbrush, shampoo, soap), feminine products (pads, deodorant) and socks!

Our goal was to reach atleast 500 items, but thanks to the help and support of everyone involved, we were able to collect more than 1,300 items!

On Dec. 24th we dropped off the items at the centre, receiving warm smiles and immense appreciation in return! Thank you all for helping us help others out this holiday season! It was a great success and we look forward to doing more drives like this in the future!
