Empower’em’s first official woman of the month is Victoria Tenasco. She is an indigenous woman of Algonquin Anishinabekwe descent. Her goal is to revive indigenous culture in both social and academic contexts. Her perseverance in raising awareness about important cultural issues, such as the stigma around mental health, has inspired many. She continues to pursue higher education at the University of Ottawa and wishes to leave a positive legacy for the next seven generations.
